it was such a lovely surprise to have received an email from k letting me know they were ready for another family shoot. so, a few sundays ago i had the pleasure of photographing this wonderful family again.

it had been 4 years since our last shoot and my, how the children have grown! i would never have recognised
[not so] little sister, j. take a look at ‘blue eyes’ here and you’ll see what i mean!

this time i suggested we meet at melbourne university, which, coincidentally, is where k+d met whilst studying there. melbourne university and its grounds …

classic rides

this post is, i admit, a few months late but i think worth the wait if you’re a lover of classic rides, especially their details.

josh is a car fanatic, more specifically holdens and 80’s holdens at that. i’m very proud to say he’s working as a mechanic and he’s in his second year apprenticeship. he loves his job. mark and i wouldn’t say no to pretty much any ride circa 50’s, 60’s and early 70’s… and chich’s favourite? give her a new mini cooper or fiat 500 and she’ll be more than happy.

ccp’s inaugural instagram project

the staff at the Centre for Contemporary Photography have selected a dozen photographers they would like to work with and… gaaaaaah.. i’m one of them!

i was totally overwhelmed to have received an invitation to take part in the inaugural instagram project, sponsored by Leica, as part of CCP Salon 2014. Salon is an annual event at CCP that will take over the entire gallery.

we will be asked to respond to a series of 10 prompts and upload our responses to instagram at weekly intervals, in the lead up to the CCP Salon exhibition at Centre for Contemporary Photography …

i’m quite positive i was born in the wrong decade. furniture, architecture, fashion, cars, film and music of the 1950’s speaks to my soul. this decade overflows with brilliant design, inspiration and elegance.
oh, to have been in my early twenties during that time.
