m is for mariana. m is for mama. m is for melancholy. m is the 13th letter of the alphabet.
m is fortysix today, 13/08/2012. that is to say, her 46th year has been.

self portraits were easier back then. one decent shot could be found in ten, maybe fifteen taken. this time, she struggled to find one in eighty. she feels as if she’s aged 15 years in the last two.

worry, stress and tears no doubt contributing to the process.…

the anticipated magnolia square market in ivanhoe, an event that covers both saturday and sunday, has been and gone… and what a weekend!

i went in somewhat blind you might say, i’d never attended this particular market [usually situated either in malvern or st kilda.. the other side of town for me] and i was pretty nervous in the lead up, fearing my stand wouldn’t look nice enough.. well, you know, be up to par with the others. as you can see …

the made’n’thornbury market runs 4 times a year, a seasonal event in a relatively small hall. as the name suggests, crafty and creative stallholders are local to the area selling their beautiful products from children’s clothing to hair clips, brooches and badges to delicious cakes and porcelain jewellery.

i was first a stallholder there just over a year ago, attended all 4 markets and always with much success. it was always busy and buzzing, a great vibe indeed. made’n’thornbury market …

The North Melbourne Market slap bang in the middle of Errol Street, the Thread Den team flip open the unassuming double doors to the Lithuanian Club and switch on every light for an indoor market adventure of 70 stalls. do come and say hello!
